How we check
Every release runs automated browser tests that:
- check public pages, workspace pages and the supplier portal against the WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules of the axe accessibility engine, in the light and dark themes, at phone and desktop widths;
- confirm that none of the pages they visit scrolls sideways on a 360-pixel-wide screen;
- complete the core journeys with the keyboard alone, including a supplier uploading a document on a phone by moving through the page the way a screen reader presents it;
- confirm that animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
What is not tested yet
- People who use screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver have not yet tested Vendarity with us. Automated checks find only part of the barriers a person meets, so we do not yet claim full conformance, and no independent audit has been done.
- Documents that suppliers upload are their own files. Vendarity shows them as they are and does not make them accessible.
- We have not yet assessed the files Vendarity generates, such as the PDF summary in an evidence pack.
Report a barrier
If something in Vendarity is hard or impossible to use with your setup, email help@vendarity.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use. Supplier contacts can also ask the business that sent the request for another way to send their documents.
