SMS Messaging Terms

Version 1.0 · Effective 2 October 2026

These terms apply to the Vendarity supplier document reminders SMS program, run by Oceanx Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 67 615 055 368), trading as Vendarity, for businesses that use Vendarity to request documents from their suppliers.

In short

  • Status: not yet active. No SMS has been sent. Each country starts only after its sender registration and a supervised test.
  • You receive texts only if you opt in yourself. At most 1 message a day from each business.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out at any time: reply STOP to a US or Canadian message, use the link in an Australian, New Zealand or UK message, or pause SMS in the supplier portal.

1. What the messages are

Occasional reminders that a business you supply has document requests waiting for you in Vendarity. Each message identifies Vendarity and the requesting business, says how many requests need attention, points you to the secure link in your Vendarity email, and says how to opt out. Messages never contain document names, dates or the documents themselves. These are service reminders, not marketing.

SMS is a companion to email: it is sent only after a reminder email for a request that is overdue or unanswered, and only if the business has a paid plan and has turned SMS on. Email continues whether or not you opt in to SMS.

2. How you opt in

Open the supplier portal from a document request and go to your reminder preferences. For an Australian, New Zealand or UK number, tick “I agree to routine evidence reminders by SMS at this number” and choose “Allow routine SMS”. For a United States or Canadian number, read the program details under “Text reminders from Vendarity”, tick the box that names the business and the last four digits of your number, and choose “Turn on text reminders”; the request email offers the same choice on a page that changes nothing until you confirm.

We record when and how you agreed and, for a US or Canadian number, the exact wording you saw. Opting in is optional and is not a condition of supplying documents or of doing business with anyone. A business cannot opt you in on your behalf. Your first US or Canadian message confirms the program, its frequency, that rates may apply, and how to get help or stop.

3. How often

Message frequency varies with your open requests. You will receive at most 1 message per day from each business that requests your documents, only on weekdays between 9:00 and 17:00 in the recipient's time zone. Each business can send no more than 50 SMS segments a month across all its suppliers.

4. Cost

Vendarity does not charge you for these messages. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan.

5. Opting out (STOP)

You can stop SMS reminders at any time:

  • tap the opt-out link in an Australian, New Zealand or UK message and confirm (no sign-in needed);
  • in the portal, choose “Pause routine SMS”, or “Stop text reminders” for a US or Canadian number (also offered on the page linked from request emails); or
  • reply STOP where your sender can receive replies (Australian and UK messages come from a business name that cannot receive replies, so use the link there).

An opt-out applies before the next message and stops any queued messages. The business that requested your documents is told to contact you another way; your document requests stay open by email.

6. Help (HELP)

For help, use the privacy and support email address that will be published on this page before paid plans or live customer data begin (until then, contact the person at Vendarity who invited you), or contact the business that sent your document request. Before US or Canadian messages start, our registered number will answer HELP with our contact details and STOP with an opt-out confirmation, as carriers require.

7. Countries and carriers

Mobile numbers in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom are supported once each route is verified; other countries are not. Messages are delivered by our SMS provider, Cellcast, through mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Your privacy

We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are shared only with the SMS provider that delivers the messages, and where the law requires. Opt-outs recorded by the provider are kept as a one-way hash so every business on Vendarity respects them. Read the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We will publish changes here with a new version and effective date. If a change affects people who have opted in, we will not rely on it until we have told them.
