Check request emails were delivered, and why sending can pause
In short
To check that your request emails are going out, open Settings, then Automation: Delivery health shows whether email sending is working, queued requests, delivery problems and paused suppliers. If a recipient reports one of your emails, or too many emails bounce or are marked as spam, Vendarity pauses your workspace's supplier emails while it reviews. Queued requests are held, not dropped, and send after the review; drafts are kept.
Delivery health tells you whether Vendarity is sending your requests and reminders on schedule, and what needs attention. A request delivered to a mail server may still not have been read, answered or accepted.
What does Delivery health show?
Choose Settings, then Automation. The Delivery health card shows:
- Email sending is working, with the time of the last check, or a note that sending is running late, marked Needs attention.
- Whether supplier email is configured for your workspace, or paused for review.
- Internal tasks: whether Vendarity is still opening tasks for your team, which continue even while supplier emails are paused.
- Counts of Queued requests, Unconfirmed delivery · all time (requests Vendarity couldn't confirm went out), Problems in 30 days and Paused suppliers.
Below it, Reminder activity lists the work itself. Choose a view: Needs attention, Queued requests, Paused suppliers or All requests, then Apply. Choose Refresh on the card to check progress.
Why would Vendarity pause our supplier emails?
Vendarity pauses every supplier email from a workspace, for review, in two cases:
- A recipient reports a request email. Each email ends with a line for anyone who was not expecting it, which leads to a page where they can report it to Vendarity.
- Too many recent emails bounce or are marked as spam, counted over the last 7 days or since the last review.
A Vendarity operator then reviews the report or the delivery problems and lifts the pause.
What happens while emails are paused?
- An amber banner, Supplier emails paused, says since when and why, with Contact support and View held requests.
- Delivery health shows the pause and the date it began.
- Queued requests are held, not dropped, and send after the review. Each held request says so on its page.
- Drafts are kept. A draft's page explains the pause instead of offering Review sending, and new requests can be saved as drafts only.
- Tasks and review notices for your team continue.
If you think a report was a mistake, or you need to know more, contact support. The supplier who reported the email can also tell you what they expected.
What do the delivery statuses mean?
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Queued | Waiting for its sending window. |
| Delivered to mail server | The recipient's mail server accepted it. It may not have been read. |
| Delivery delayed | The email service is still trying to deliver it. |
| Bounced | The address rejected it. Check the contact's email address. |
| Marked as spam | The recipient marked it as spam. Confirm the contact expects your emails. |
| Delivery unconfirmed | Vendarity could not confirm whether the email went out. The request page says when delivery still needs confirmation. |
| Delivery stopped | It was stopped before sending, for example because reminders were paused. |
Common questions
- Will held requests be lost?
- No. Queued requests are held while supplier emails are paused and send after the review. Drafts are kept too.
- Who can see Delivery health?
- Every member of the workspace can open Settings, then Automation, to see it. Owners and Admins also see the controls for automatic reminders and Stuck jobs there.
- Does a delivered request mean the supplier saw it?
- No. Delivered to mail server means the recipient's mail server accepted it. It doesn't mean the email was read, or that a document was sent or accepted.
