Pause reminders for one supplier
In short
To stop chasing one supplier, open their page, choose Pause reminders, write why, and confirm. Vendarity stops new requests and queued reminders to that supplier, and the page shows the pause and its reason. Review and the supplier's links keep working. To restart, choose Resume reminders and give a reason. Both reasons stay in the supplier's history.
Pause a supplier's reminders when chasing would not help: for example, you are already talking to them by phone, a renewal is in hand, or you are deciding whether to keep working with them. The pause affects only that supplier.
How do I pause reminders?
Open the supplier
On Suppliers, open the supplier. Pause reminders sits beside Share a link, below the page heading, once the supplier has a current requirement.
Give a reason
Choose Pause reminders. In Pause reminders for this supplier, explain why in at least 8 characters. Your whole workspace can see it, and it stays in the supplier's history.
Confirm
Choose Pause reminders. The page shows Reminders paused for this supplier with your reason.
What does a pause stop?
- Queued requests and reminders to the supplier's contacts are stopped and stay in the request history.
- New requests cannot be sent: the request review step and draft pages explain that reminders are paused for this supplier.
- Automatic reminders skip this supplier.
- A change request's reason or a shared message can't be emailed to the supplier; they still see it when they next open their link.
An email that has already started sending may still reach its recipient.
What keeps working?
Review and the supplier's request page keep working. A supplier contact with a working link can still upload documents, and your team can still review them and record decisions.
How do I resume reminders?
Choose Resume reminders on the supplier's page. The dialog shows the recorded pause reason. Explain why reminders should resume and choose Resume reminders. New requests then check the current documents, the reason you can email each contact and the sending limits. Requests that were stopped stay in history; prepare a new request if you still need one.
Where do I see all paused suppliers?
In Settings, then Automation, Delivery health counts Paused suppliers. Choose it, or set Reminder activity to Paused suppliers, to see each one with its recorded reason.
Common questions
- Does pausing reminders tell the supplier?
- No. Vendarity sends nothing about the pause. The supplier simply stops receiving requests and reminders until you resume them.
- Is pausing the same as archiving?
- No. Pausing stops only requests and reminders; the supplier stays active and can still upload. Archiving stops all new work with the supplier and cancels their links.
- Can a supplier pause reminders themselves?
- A supplier contact can pause request emails for themselves on their request page. That pause belongs to the contact, and only they can lift it.
