Not expecting an email from Vendarity?
In short
Vendarity sends document requests for businesses that use it to collect documents from their suppliers. If you don’t know the business or didn’t expect its email, open the report link at the foot of the email and choose Report this email. Vendarity pauses that business’s supplier emails while it reviews your report. Opening the page alone changes nothing.
Vendarity is supplier document management software. A business you work with, or one that wants to work with you, uses it to ask for documents such as certificates of insurance. Each request email names that business and says it uses Vendarity to collect documents from its suppliers.
How do I report an email?
Find the report line
Near the end of the request email, find the line “Not expecting this email from …? Report it to Vendarity” and open its link.
Read the page
The page is headed Not expecting this email? and names the business. Opening it changes nothing, so link checkers in your mail system can’t report anything.
Report the email
Choose Report this email. The page confirms that Vendarity has paused emails from that business while it reviews your report. You don’t need to do anything else.
What happens after I report it?
Vendarity pauses every supplier email from that business, not only the ones to you. Requests they had already queued are held, not sent, until Vendarity has reviewed the report.
If the email was already reported, the page says so, and there is nothing more for you to do.
Important: If an email asks for passwords, payment details, or files sent anywhere other than Vendarity, don’t send them. Vendarity removes web and email addresses from a business’s own message, so the only link to a genuine request is Vendarity’s.
What if the report link doesn’t work?
If the page says This report link is not valid, check that you opened the whole link from the email. You can also forward the email to help@vendarity.com and Vendarity will review it.
I know the business. How do I stop request emails?
If the request is genuine but you’d rather not get request emails, open the request and choose Pause request emails under Your communication preferences. Let the business know, because they own the request. See Pause request emails.

- Vendarity sends requests for businesses that use it, and each email names the business. If you don’t recognize it, report the email from the link at its foot, and never reply with passwords or payment details.
- Does reporting affect only my emails?
- No. Vendarity pauses that business’s supplier emails while it reviews your report.
- Do I need to sign in to report an email?
- No. The link in your email is enough, and nothing is reported until you choose Report this email.
