Read the daily brief of what needs attention
In short
The daily brief lists today's counts from your own records: overdue critical requirements, submissions awaiting review, supplier responses needed, documents expiring within 30 days and more, each with the records behind it. Open it from Home with Daily brief. You can ask AI for a short summary of the counts, checked against them before it shows, and edit ready-made reminders before sending them through the usual request preview.
The brief is worked out each time you open it, from the same records as Home, Documents and the operational report, so its numbers always match those pages. Nothing in it is estimated.
What does Today show?
Each count has its label, its value and a sentence saying what it covers, then up to five of the records behind it and a link to the full list. The counts are:
- Overdue critical requirements, submissions awaiting review, supplier responses needed and documents expiring within 30 days.
- Documents submitted in the last 24 hours.
- Open cross-document checks, when your workspace has them.
- The median supplier response time and median review time over 30 days, each with how many it is based on, and acceptances in the last 30 days.
How does the AI summary work?
Under Summary, choose Write a short summary. Vendarity sends Google's Gemini API only today's date and each count with its label: no supplier name, document, contact or note. The answer is one to four sentences, and each must restate exactly one count with its figure as shown. Vendarity checks every sentence against the counts before showing it, and shows nothing if a sentence fails; the counts are unaffected either way.
A summary uses one unit of the workspace's AI allowance. Opening the brief again while the counts are unchanged shows the same summary at no cost. The summary needs AI-assisted review on for the workspace; while it is off, the brief still shows every count. See the Privacy Policy.
How do the reminder drafts work?
Owners, Admins and Managers see Reminder drafts for up to five suppliers with the earliest outstanding documents. Edit the message in the box, then choose Review and send…: the supplier's request opens with your text, and nothing is sent until you confirm its preview there, exactly as for any request. Copy copies the text instead. Nothing is sent from the brief itself.
Common questions
- Can the summary say something the counts don't?
- No. A sentence that doesn't restate one of the counts exactly, or that names a supplier, fails the check and isn't shown. The counts and the records listed with them are authoritative.
- Why don't I see the AI summary button?
- The button needs AI-assisted review on for the workspace, AI allowance left and a workspace that isn't read-only. A sample workspace never sends anything to AI. The counts show either way.
